But it happened.
Yes, it did!
Okay, so it happened. And I am really not feeling good about it. I mean, who will? I read one of my favorite picture books – The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsberg, and really felt good. I mean, who would not? Right?
So yeah, I read the book peacefully. Enjoyed it. And then, I thought of writing about my experience of reading picture books, and books in general, in the form of a LinkedIn post. I felt good about the idea, so I went there.
I opened my LinkedIn tab and started writing my post. Everything went well. I wrote the first rough draft as I usually do. No grammar checking, no edits, nothing. I wrote the draft. I thought of first taking and editing a few pictures from the book before jumping into editing my post, and I went ahead.
I took the pictures and started editing them to upload on linkedin. Everything was going well. I had a story, and I just needed to edit it a little bit. I had already taken pictures from the book and continued the editing process. Then, suddenly, my LinkedIn tab got closed somehow, in between opening and jumping to two or three tabs at once.
And…..from a very heavy heart, I have to accept that my precious draft got lost in the irretrievable universe of the internet.
It’s sad.
It’s very bad.
But it’s true!
And I know, I should have prepared the draft in google doc, so that closing the doc tab would not have been a big deal.
Or, from the next time, I will try to schedule the draft while preparing it from the start. I think that way, I will make the changes easily, and there won’t be an issue for me.
Yeah, this was my sad story. Feeling really sad.
